Adjustable Cosworth clutch mechanism |
| As most of you will have experienced, the standard plastic ratchet is rubbish. My advice has always been to remove this and go for hydraulic actuation. Obviously with the cost issues of this, it is not always viable and people are putting up with the horrible actuation that the standard Ford item gives with an uprated clutch! The cure is this manual clutch adjustment assembly. The components replace the plastic ratchet and pawl that came with the car, which as some may have experienced often ends up stripping the teeth. Though getting rid of the plastic components is nice, the true benefit to these clutch adjusters is that it lets you place the clutch engagement point at any location in the travel of your clutch pedal :). If you like the clutch to engage high in the pedal's travel, you can set it that way. If you like the clutch to engage the second you let the clutch pedal off the floor, you can have it that way too. It's basically fully adjustable and much stronger. Price does NOT include delivery. |
